Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities Behavioral Support Services in
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the day-to-day issues being a caregiver to someone with developmental disabilities? Are you out of ideas on how best to deal with challenging behaviors? Consider getting a helping hand from someone who has dealt with this kind of challenge before, a Behavior Therapist or Behavior Support Consultant.
It is the role of the Behavior Support Consultant to be an expert on behavioral issues on your interdisciplinary team (IDT). Support Consultants are well trained in behavioral health
issues, problem-solving, facilitating communication, cultural sensitivity and utilizing community resources. They receive regular continuing education, training, and supervision from other peers working in the field of developmental disabilities.
