The Enhancement Center is open for business during this public health crisis. We have increased our capacity to provide telehealth services and at the direction of most major health plans and the Behavioral Health Services Division of the state of New Mexico we are also providing counseling services by telephone. Until further notice some of our therapists are also providing limited in-office sessions. Our main administrative offices continue to be open. Most of our administrative staff work remotely and we will continue to have at least one person at the main office until further notice. Take care and continue to maintain good mental health.
Psychotherapy is our business.
Here when you need us.
We offer support for families, marriages, children, teens and adults. Counseling can help.

Psychotherapy and Family Therapy
At one time or another, most of us have been faced with overwhelming personal concerns, stress at work, or family issues. If this sounds like you, maybe it’s time to seek help from a professional counselor or therapist. Psychotherapy can help lift the weight of the world from your shoulders. It can help relieve stress while providing you with new skills to help you get through each day.
Locations: New Mexico & Texas
Our therapists work from their own offices in Albuquerque (west side and east side), Rio Rancho, and Corrales. We also have a company office in Austin Texas and Rio Rancho New Mexico. With so many locations it should be easy to find a counselor near where you work or live.
Still not finding the location you want? We have therapists who are doing telehealth. What could be more convenient than that? Once it’s time for your appointment you simply go to your computer or smartphone. Respond to our email reminder and log into a secure website to begin the session with your counselor. All our therapist are licensed in the state where you are live, even when those services are by telehealth. Please call us to answer any question you may have.
We have highly experienced female and male psychotherapists providing services. Most have been providing service in New Mexico for 15 years or more and a recent expansion to Texas.
Depending on their own experiences and areas of interest our therapists specialize in many different areas of treatment interventions. Counselors can work with you to relieve issues like anxiety related conditions and phobias. Many are trained on treating trauma reactions and PTSD. Most of our staff focuses on symptoms of depression, post-partum depression, or grief and loss. We also treat substance abuse and addiction recovery.
We support couples and families experiencing a difficult time in their relationship. We work with blended families of all kinds who may be experiencing distress in their homes and in their lives. Several of our therapists provide counseling for families seeking adoption and families working towards re-unification with their children. Domestic Violence is an issue around the country. We have passionate therapist training to help with adult and child survivors and witnesses of domestic violence.
Our counselors also have experience working with and supporting people who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender. We can help you navigate through the difficulties often associated with gender identity, sexual orientation, and relationships.
We have counselors and consultants who are dedicated to working with children and adults with Autism and other intellectual disabilities. They assess and create treatment plans which take into account their very special needs. This includes the special needs of supporting their parents, relatives, and caregivers. We understand how stressful that relationship can become at times. See our link to DD/ID Behavioral Support-NM for more information about a special program we have in New Mexico. That program is for people who are on the Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver Program (the DD Waiver).
Types of Psychotherapy – Therapeutic Interventions
Most of our therapists use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as a form of treatment. Some work with couples and families using family therapy and marriage counseling. A few of our counselors are certified in Applied Behavioral Analysis, used to treat people with Autism. For trauma, we have therapists trained in EMDR, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), and Brainspotting. We have staff members trained or certified in Hypnotherapy. Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy can be used at multiple locations to treat children, and adults. Christian Counseling and spiritual based therapy are also available.
Therapy can help no matter where a person is in their life. Coping skills can benefit you in the workplace, at home, and even through school.
All our psychotherapists are approved to work with various health insurance plans in New Mexico and Texas including Medicaid. We can accept payment directly from you. Check out our Payment Options page for different ways to pay for services.
It is important for everyone in our community to have access to quality behavioral healthcare.
Counseling is more than just talking about your problems. A behavioral health professional is someone that works with you to develop an effective plan to address your needs. Our staff of trained professionals assesses the whole person in order to more fully understand your needs. They are also trained in problem-solving, facilitating communication, cultural sensitivity, and utilizing other community resources.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life of individuals and families by providing effective and compassionate behavioral healthcare.
